April 5, 2012 Story-telling the ancient, oral tradition at Third Place Books, Lake Forest Park Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 7:00 PM Story-telling is, according to some experts, what makes people ... well ... human. Join us as we connect with our collective past and rediscover how the telling of tall tales lends to a sense of community and a heck of a lot of fun! WELCOME Welcome to the Puget Sound Sisters in Crime Web Site! Sisters in Crime was founded in 1986 to "combat discrimination against women in the mystery field, educate publishers and the general public as to the inequities in the treatment of female authors, raise the level of awareness of their contributions to the field, and promote the professional advancement of women who write mysteries." We have over 3000 members, including writers, readers, editors, agents, booksellers, and librarians. Membership in the Puget Sound Chapter is open to anyone interested in supporting the purpose of Sisters in Crime. We support and publicize the work of fellow Sisters and Brothers, especially those in the Puget Sound area, and we promote education and literacy through ongoing community programs. We meet to socialize, network, and share our experience and knowledge. We welcome new members and inquiries. To contact us, email bonetaskelton@aol.com Boneta Skelton is our chapter mascot!
